Course Description:

Learn how to use the HANDLE paradigm to help people with mild learning, behavioural or attentional difficulties.

This ten month course begins with 3 separate modules of residential training and is followed by six months of distance learning. You will begin by receiving a HANDLE Screening yourself, insights into your own unique ways of functioning in the world and an individualised programme of HANDLE Activities. You will go on to build a deeper knowledge of the approach, and learn many new activities and how to adapt them to meet individual needs. You will learn how to use the Screening Tool developed by Judith Bluestone, evaluate the findings and make recommendations to clients.

The HANDLE Screening is a brief practical evaluation to discover neurodevelopmental obstacles that interfere with learning for people aged 5 and upwards with mild difficulties. It is ideal for evaluating individuals or a group in a short period of time.

Completion of all course requirements enables you to be Certified as a HANDLE Screener by The HANDLE Institute® and use the HANDLE Screening Tool and Activities professionally.
